How to Survive the Indie Music Career

A couple of months ago I was part of an amazing chat about surviving your career as an independent musician. This was part of a new non-profit called SLAM (Support Life and Music.) I was equally excited because I was there with the amazing George Hrab! We discuss the ups and down of surviving the indie music career. And Duran Duran. And Ringo. We also touch on more serious industry topics such as mental health, but still had a great time and I’m honored to have been asked to join them!

Here’s more about SLAM:

🌟S.L.A.M. is a fiscally-sponsored non-profit founded by Jack Mangan to help musicians combat su!c!de, substance abuse, and other self-destructive behaviors. Support Life And Music delivers information, awareness, and wisdom from veteran industry pros, musicians, and experts about how to survive and find happiness in “the life” through articles, audio podcasts, and videos. https://www.supportlifeandmusic.org/voices/
🌟A recent study showed that su!c!de rates among musicians have grown to crisis levels (link in the comments). S.L.A.M.’s programs tackle this problem head-on. To find solutions. To restore hope.
So, how can you help?
